The ground-floor palace kitchen boasted the most modern technology for those times: revolving spits automaticly powered by the heat of the fire, cabinets for keeping food warm, heated by the waste heat from the kitchen stove, as well as hot and cold running water, all of which eased the work of the kitchen staff. the kitchen was in operation for only two years - from 1884 until king ludwig`s death in 1886.

The king`s ludwig personal chef had his hands full because ludwig was a discriminating diner with a taste for exquisite dishes. he ate soupe, fish, minced dishes or meat that had been cooked for hours until it was soft. he drank wine, champagne, liqueur and liked arrack. he was mot however, keen on beer.

  1. Hallo im through indonesia and my personal english isnt that cool, but i was able to understand each single word of the write-up. Im seeking english blogs to give a lift in order to my personal british capabilities as well as im quite glad to serve them with a blog, which publishes obvious as well as structured english which i will probably be able to translate. Many thanks through Indonesia! pressure cooker 5 litre
